Not sure if it is required, but most do include themselves as teams.

This is a situation where the 'sand box' rules say overtly deceiving the public by claiming 200 home sale a year, by a single agent, is OK.
Deception.

no....it's NOT required, but many mega teams DO just to be top dog....
when I was a team leader, I let each team member have their own transactions in their name..... listings, pending and closed.... I had NOTHING.... they worked better hustling for THEIR business....

I haven't had a team for 10 years, so I really couldn't say as I don't pay much attention to this issue. When I had a team all the production stats went to me.

We do not have such a requirement as far as I know.
My Team Leader is on out MLS committee so I am sure we are in compliance with whatever is necessary.

I am not sure. I know the DRE is cracking down on Teams. They have created a task force to deal with the misuse of teams.

'Teams' are but a state of mind. The individual agent gets the brass ring

NO but they should. There is teams of 10 and even 20 agents submitting under 1 name. Where I submit just for me. And the good thing, last year i beat those 10.......

Yes, if the team is accumulating credit together they must be identified as a team. Leaders were getting all the credit for sales, which was just inaccurate. There is a huge team around here that allows all of his agents to get their own credit though and so they're not identified as a team in the mls because the individuals are accumulating their own stats not in the team's name. -K

Here there is a Team Name plus every team member must have their own account. The sales get recorded toward the teams total. Something I figured out quickly at the 1st C21 Awards Dinner when agents were being rewarded for 200+ sales.... clearly this is voodoo or they have help.

Out here most of the team stat numbers go to the team lead, from what I've seen. I usually put the stat to the agent I work with as the primary and almost never put in the team lead. If I do, it's as a co-buyer's agent. There are no rules that I'm aware of for our board.

They now allow a second agent as seller. Redfin before IPO wanted all listing under regional BRE. Now it is blocked.
