AI is nothing new in our business. I have been dealing with agent incompetency for years.

Someone mentioned it when they were talking about optimization. So far, I don't know if it is effecting us. I guess I could check Siri if I wanted to know.

I saw an add today selling lead search using Alexa.
Looks like AI is inevitable for real estate.

Funny how the "disruptors" are going to take over the real estate transaction business....Right up until they learn about tems like "full disclosure," "Disparate Impact," "Disparate Treatment," and "Reasonable Diclsoure of what a competent Real Estate Agent should have noticed."
AI will have its uses, but not the way the computer geeks are envisioning it now. It will make a wonderful servant and streamline some of what we do, but it will end there...
HUD, the CFPB and the DOJ will have much to do as the industry evolves. I honestly do not believe the developers have any idea of what they are getting themselves into...

I think it was Dario that was talking about this and we were all checking for keyword optimization for AI devices. It's a thing and it's important to know about.

Yes the problem with becoming voice search optomized is that if you haven't begun already you are way behind... by at least a few years...get going

I took graduate engr courses in artificial intelligence. They said it was coming soon at Bell Lab and IBM. That predated personal computer even. The technology supported was not ready and costly. If I look at my crystal ball it will be a long time and it will be gradual not revolutionary. A closer look at the theories since my days or dacades reveal the theories are not different. There are more query statements. It is hard to replace human brains. I notice a few things from AI but it took already years to get to a rudimentary level we have today.
Bottom line, it will be when we are all in graves some of these tools will be ready. Siri etc are not predictable. I deactivated it.

Technology, such as AI, does not disrupt but does increase the speed of change is this time of punctuated equilibrium.
It is not the technology that will disrupt but the PRINCIPLE behind giving or creating a need the consumer must want to have filled.
The need to be filled in real estate today that will be the catalyst for disruption is the consumers increasing demand for autonomy, anonymity and avoidance of shame. Open ledger/block chain will be the technology.
AI, in the form of veracity checking will be a crucial component.

If you aren't already implementing AI like Alexa into your strategy you will pay a very heavy price for it before you know it. Here are my thoughts on the subject:
- 3 Obvious Reasons Every Broker Needs Their Own Alexa Skill
- 7 ways to get more downloads of your Alexa skill
- 3 Tips for launching an Alexa skill for real estate leads
By the way, everyone also needs to be implementing a voice strategy into their SEO which means building out very in-depth FAQ pages and understanding out to utilize Google snippets. Studies are saying that those that do this will have 30% more revenue by the early part of 2021 which is why I am writing tons of them for my clients.
If you aren't playing in the future, you're getting stuck in the past.

No. I don't see this concept as fully fleshed out yet. Still in it's infancy. Most voice searches tend to be the same questions searchers would otherwise type in. So long as your site is optomized for those searches, it shouldn't matter where the question is input. The only issue will be figuring out the algorithms for Alexa and Siri IF they come close to giving Google a run for their money.

I think it can only happen, if we all become robots of one mind, one intention, etc. Then no one would care what a home looked like. It would all be fine, no emotions, and get me out of here if that were to happen...A

AI and voice search are 2 completely different things. AI does not exist yet and voice search sucks. Voice search is just the same as typed search so there is not much to do except simplify your site.
3,416,038
For now what i am doing is working well. For the future, It would be easier for a list of how to adjust for voice searches and what to do
