I have signs of all sizes. Smaller ones w metal frames or posts and bigger wood on 4 x 4s. If it's small enough that I can knock it into the ground, 10 minutes no problem. Big ones I have a local handy dandy guy. Marquee shopping center, I have a sign company. Sign companies here are notoriously slow and I only use them if I have to.

My favorite though are 20 or 30 x 3 or 4 foot mesh banners that can go on chain link fastened with metal spring hooks. I have those down to a science. You can't run them over, the wind blows through them and you cannot miss them.

I do my own.   I have a PVC sign post that you hammer in a support device and slide the sign on.  Weighs less than my gym bag (totally helpful, right?) and I don't have to wait.  Can take it on a listing appointment if I wanted to.

It depends upon my calendar - if I'm near the property that needs the sign, I'll stop in and install it. Otherwise I pay someone to install it.

During summer months, I pay someone every time - I have the arm-style posts so getting those into hard soil is not easy!

I do it myself. I use metal double stake signs.  Easy to put in the car and put in the ground.  Seems a waste of money to pay someone else to do something only takes a couple of minutes when I am in the area. IF they are a distance away, I make sure I have the sign with me when I am at the site meeting with the clients.
