Seriously though, a New Year's Eve Open House could be good if it was on a weekend. I know that many people still work on NYE.
And New Year's Day... assuming it wasn't first thing in the morning, could be marketed as a great way to start the year.
That being said, I would not do it myself because I enjoy my downtime on NYE and NY Day.

I would not be holding one open but hey if you don't have anything to do, your seller wants one and you want to give it a try..go for it! It only takes one buyer to make an offer and BINGO your listing is under contract!
