Parameters for anything are needed and useful in a civilized society

I saw the comment about the school and I think that should be an in house conversation. Besdies that, you are paying the school for their knowledge of this.

If you really need to ask this question, maybe you should consider another career.

Constance Kramer you really need to ask the people whom you are paying to take the course as to why they don't teach you instead of passing their job off to us . As a Realtor you will be taking CE courses every year. If I took a CE course and they told me to get my answers off the Internet I'd tell them to get their paycheck off the internet and then I'd find a competent company to purchase my education from.

If you have trouble getting along and doing the right thing then it may be a good idea to read this over and learn how to be a good citizen in this business.

The “code of ethics” should be made available by your instructor.

It is how we conduct our business and failure to follow the code can result in serious repercussions.

Like any club you need to know the rules otherwise you may get fined. The REALTOR Code of Ethics are club rules. It's important to know the rules.

However, do not confuse a code of moral conduct with the club rules.

It is nly important if you become a Realtor as an agent not a Realtor has a different set of rules. But for us Realtors it is what makes us stand out.

It is to keep all REALTORS ethical.

Ethics are important and help keep you out of jail.  NAR's not so much.

If you have to ask, you have a potential problem!

The Code of Ethics is important because it is evidence that the real estate industry wants to police itself and set up an mechanism to punish bad actors.  This way we can keep the government from over regulating the industry.  We can show that we can handle things in-house, so to speak.
