MARK and Tammy EDWARDS IDX is NOT provided by your MLS. You MUST obtain it from a 3rd party THAT'S APPROVED by your MLS.
If your MLS uses Flexmls for its database, you can use FBS IDX. This is a $360 annual fee that's paid 100% in advance; no refunds.
You can also use IDX Broker which is anywhere from $39.99/month to $59.99/month depending on the product you select. This is a monthly service that you can cancel at anytime.

I am not familiar with Godaddy websites, but I've only heard bad things about their hosting.
You'll probably need an IDX company to access an MLS API - I never heard of an MLS having an API. They usually have a RETS feed, then you have to get all the data yourself - not an easy task.
Good luck.

We have to pay for a 3rd party service to integrate on our website. I do not know anything about GoDaddy websites ... I use WordPress. I wish you all the best in finding a solution.

Not sure how other MLS's work, but whenever I have needed IDX I just contacted my MLS and they got me the information I needed to sign and helped me get it done! Best of Luck in your process.

I would think that GoDaddy support should be able to answer that question for you

IDX Broker is the 800lb Gorilla in the industry. You will need to use them (or someone similar) in order to get an IDX unless your MLS uses Flex, in which case they have their own IDX you can use.
I do caution against GoDaddy. I had them and the server kept having issues. Finally moved to a virtual server on Amazon and have a much bigger, faster site with way more plugins now.

1: there is a new technology called RESO Web API, but very few MLS have adopted this so far
2: it depends on the MLS. Some REQUIRE a vendor (a website provider like Realtyna, idx broker, ihomefinder, on so on), while others will allow you to get the feed access for yourself. With this info, you will still need a developer to create the connection.. unless of course, you have technical knowledge to do so yourself :)
3: you might want to consider going with a website provider that will do this integration for you..there are so many out there. all with pros and cons.

Your MLS will give it to you (inspite of what Ken Jones says). Usually you have to make a formal request & your broker has to sign it also. I've done it about 5 times so far & for each different company/website you will have to get one.

You have to go through your MLS to have any IDX provider approved (at least here you do). You can either add an IDX (such as Diverse Solutions or IDX Broker) or you can add your own direct RETS feed.
BUT, both have to go through your MLS.
