My listings are working for me long after the close of escrow online.  The Virtual Tour and other posts continue to get calls.  Zillow and other sites keep my listings me in front of the public.  I won't pay for new ads once the home is in escrow though.

It truly depends on the buyer strength.  Cash buyer, no I usually stop when it goes pending.  Otherwise I keep it marketed until all contingencies are met.
