Fred Griffin , I hate to admit it but I'm drawing a blank as to what NACA is. What I do know is that I worked with a lot of Vets with the MAFB here and there were often plans that were better for the borrower than a VA loan. Most of ND is eligible for USDA loans yet they so seldom get used and I think it's the best thing out there if you qualify.

not too familiar with that NACA program but you might want to consider it if the buyer's credit score is not high enough for the VA loan... the NACA has no closing costs either, as I understand it....

Depends on your location. The main no-down loan in mine is VA loan and yes, a veteran should take advantage of benefits of VA loans( regardless of down payment amount).

There are few other no-down loans are popping up, but again it is specific to a county and a local lender would be the best person to talk to.

VA is a bit more forgiving on a credit score than FHA but this is not a program I have heard of.

I've had a client or two who did NACA but it's been a while. As for it being better than a VA loan... hard to say. I would think it depends on each individual situation.
