I want my website to be professional and realistically represent ME.  My past sales, my reviews and my current listings.  Along with IDX for customers to search our MLS.

I think they want updated info with latest real estate topics. Explain things in a more private way vs in person. Shop for info in their jammies.

Search should be easily seen & easy to do with instant results.

They can find out a little bit more about you without you knowing.

I want it to be the go-to website that is preferred by buyers - my buyers - not Z, T, R or Sharkfin.

As Chris Ann Cleland said, I want it to reflect me and my work/service history with sales & testimonials (which I do have). 

I also want it to be mobile-friendly, which it is. My IDX needs to also be user-friendly and unframed.

What all website visitors want is property search capability. Give them that if they are willing to register and leads will come. What we need from any marketing is leads.

My website is my internet business card and store front. It needs to be professional, easy to navigate, provide people with what they typically look for on a website... information about houses.

I expect a service that keeps it up.  (all the moving parts- the IDX, plug ins etc.)

I think clients expect both information about the area and listings.  I'm pretty happy with what I have now.  Need to build some stuff to replace things I used to have when the service I used went belly up.

You have some interesting comments here Tammy.  I want my niche website to provide the "wow" factor in terms of information and content.  People will see me as the authority and pick up the phone and call me - hire me.

mobile friendly, easy to navigate, a diversley functional easy to use editor for blogging, fast load speeds, adjustable pop ups, mapping IDX I could go on with this for a while lol

The majority of website visitors simply want:

- a fast-loading website
- to view properties immediately
- an easy and fast search
- an easy way to contact agent

Before I have a website I have determined what purpose it serves.

For example MY CLIENTS have no regard about website lead generation but do have a need for resources and information.

I suggest a 'One Size Fits All' website may not fit well many of the needs of ones business.

What my clients want is information they can not easily find anywhere else. Whether is invisible real estate inventory, insurance resource, repair or evaluations, being the provider of exclusive information is a good purpose for a website.

I'm fine with leads.  Nothing more is expected.

A quick way to distribute info.

I have people tell me that they verify my experience and credentials. Many times it is after we are working together.

Our websites - information, market updates, current listings, floor plans and more. 

Today, all information is online. Sillow, Trulia, Realtor.com have search options. Our websites designed by city and condominiums. I'd say, it is friendlier search. 

Majority agents in local brokerages do not even have website presence. This is Silicon Valley.  They find realtors through word of the mouth, SOP or human contact. Agents do vey well. Majority of clients are from Social Media, Apple, Google, Chip, 8 smart phone R&D centers, electric car companies. All here are very tech savvy.  

Another thing that stands out is giant bill boards along freeways.
