In Alaska in the summer we can work 22 hours a day... thankfully we dont but you can really burn the candle from both ends if you dont watch it.

I had a 12 and half hour day about two and half years ago. She had ONE day to FIND THE house. We found it, we wrote the offer and she lives there now.

20+ hours and it was not that long ago. I attended a Sheriff Eviction which took over 8 hours then I had to finish up the rest of my day - preview a property, write an offer, consult with clients, get the offer package ready and submitted before the deadline.

I almost always start working in my home office somewhere between 5-5:30am. I can be doing work at 9-10pm at night at times as well. But that's not a straight non-stop work day. So who the heck knows.

Technically, I've had TONS of 12 hour days but the LONGEST day would be the one that negatively impacts the energy around me & leaves me a frustrated, irritated ball of an agent. Luckily, I can't recall letting such a day have me in some time!!!

I've done a 12-hour day before - when you have a relo buyer that HAS to find a house in one day, it can make for a LOOONG day!

I start work around 7:30am & on a light day I'm done between 3:30 & 5. I consider that a normal 8 hour work day.
Many other days though, this whole week in fact, It'll be more like 7:30am-8:30pm- it's just really busy right now & I'm grateful for that!

Prayful I clearly remember the longest day in 2008 when stock market plunged and real estate market tanked. There we were sitting, with a big office, agents and staff and we knew what was about to happen - but had no idea it would be that much of a downfall in the Phoenix area. Every day was long for a number of years. Thankfully we've moved way past those days - way past.

when I was actively working subdivisions, I would work 10 to 12 hours a day.... that was average... my day began when the builder's day began and I was at the site when the subs arrived.... there were many days that were 14 hour days.... but the money was worth it...
