It's an obsolete term. Once upon a time we had a "suggest" button to nominate a post for Feature. If you were right, you got a Called Shot. Years ago they switched to using Like of a post instead of Suggest, and no more Called Shots.

An earlier version of social authority when lots of your peers took the time to send the memo alert that hey, this stuff is worthwhile, roll the AR feature spotlight over and shine a little light on this one. It engaged the membership rather than one mystery person behind the green shimmering sequined curtain doling out the gold stars.
