A referral to their children!  That IS a compliment.  Other than that, I'd say a cash bonus.  Contrary to popular opinion, not everyone thinks agents are overpaid.

The gifts I've gotten from clients have been too numerous and generous to recount on just my first cup of coffee.
They're usually much more generous with me than I am with them, although I am known for my Tequila bottles.
I would say weekend passes to Disneyland from one of my very favorite clients, and a basket with French champagne from another probably would be my favorite ones.

The best thank you gift is always a referal, however a seller not only referred every one they know, they brought me the nicest spring wreath last week. That is 2 years after our sale, but they thanked me for taking care of their parents and sister sales recently.

I've had some of the best clients, honestly, I love my clients- my favorite was from a couple who went to Ireland while we were waiting to close. They got me a very nice Guinness jacket & a bottle of Bushmills. Class act. I also got other great presents from happy clients- one older lady baked the best  Cheesecake ever, it had a Rasberry drizzle on the side- fantastic! All she asked for was her pan back! Many nice presents... and I've given some nice ones too. Maybe that'll be my question for tomorrow.

Referrals are the best, but this one still has me floored.  We were preparing a listing for an unemployed client, when a job came through for him. It meant he needed to relocate and use the new companies Relocation Assistance, which of course wants 30% of our commission. 

These were friends and it was a great house, so we went along because after looking it over the benefit to them was huge. 

After closing they showed up at our home to say "thank you" and unpacked a large, Big Green Egg Barbecue/Smoker.  I use it all the time and think of them kindly every time.
