Myles,
We do our part to conserve energy and definetly re-use and recycle.
It does sicken me though that so many political leaders and Hollywood elite want to force very inefficient and costly forms of alternative energy down our throats when they have a HUGE carbon footprint with the mansions they own sucking up needless electricity, water, natural gas, etc. Many have no problem flying PRIVATE jets to their save the world conferences and drive HUGE vehicles that emit a huge carbon footprint.
More Americans would be receptive to this if these advocates would WALK the talk and not lecture us so much! ^_~

The only entity that can change this situation is the Government. As long as the Global Elite make a profit from oil, they will bribe and control The politicians, and nothing will change.

Solar does have it's place (I see that's your industry), I'm o.k. with it for emergency uses personally and the solar panel efficiency will be increasing and hopefully would make more sense to more households much sooner than later.
Renewable energy is approaching 20% of the sources powering America's electrical needs, good thing there.
Direct answer to your question: No, I should do more, in the meantime I do like my large vehicles.

Sorry, I do not believe in "Man made" global warming Myles Jackson . I believe the use of coal and oil provide the most economical and practical means of energy available today.

Myles, this group is not warm and fuzzy toward folks pitching their services, however gently. Blog about your business for best results.
And you can take the girl out of SoCal but you can't take it out of the girl. Recycling, repurposing, finding good homes for old stuff. All about that.
Oil, gas, nuclear power. Those are all important resources. Once wind and solar can equal them, far out. Not there yet. Not for a long time.
I did a lot of research into solar farming, which was all the rage a few years back in my area. The problem is that the power companies don't want to overpay for power that they actually do not need. So it still doesn't pencil unless it's a very large operation..
Also, I totally agree with Bruce about the hypocrisy of celebritards.

From having had Solar Homes on the market I can tell you 1st hand that buyers & realtors I've spoken to hate the look. They are always installed across the entire front roof here & it ruins any curb appeal the house had. Buyers are always concerned about roof damage from the installation, wind damage to the panels & what will happen when they need to put on a new roof. I'd say if they designed a better product they'd capture more people's interest.

Nope. I don't know enough about it nor do I have the skillset to educate anyone on the topic. I recycle, don't use more than I need, and am good at keeping my space clean, but other than that, nope.
Example: I thought Tesla creating electric vehicles was saving the world.....until I learned about what goes into the creation and disposal of the batteries inside those things. I was duped!

Are you doing your part?
Of course. But the reality is, most of what the consumer can do is irrelevant. The 'rare earths' solutions coming from China will reduce energy requirements. So the consumption economy will reduce energy and add more TVs to the land fills.
Right now, it is all up to Dude Energy.
NOTE: China is not buying much recycled plastic from USA so most goes into the landfill. Soon they won't want our old electronics and that will end up in the landfill. And with a tit-for-tat tariff war going, we will soon be up to our eyeballs in our own recycleable trash.
To educate and move the world? Of course not.
I know how I feel when a tree hugger, planet saver walks in my direction to educate and move the world.
In May I wlll do the EARTH DAY thing and talk about the far reaching benefits of the Walkable Home.

We have a brand new power plant burning gas for Cisco and Coyote Valley. The high tech firms want to spend $ build high rises and cluster home.
The plant is sitting there not operational 95% of time. What a waste.
