I don't know that it's a hard and fast rule in our MLS. It's highly recommended and listing agents typically request a card be left in occupied homes so that sellers know you've been and gone.

Our key boxes acquire all of our information when we get the key and then the listing agent calls us barely after we get the door open to ask about feedback. I think the card is getting redundant except it lets the Seller know we have been there...

We are expected to leave a card even in vacant properties

Yes, it is a courtesy to let the seller know the showing appointment was kept and not all agents here use ELB, some still use combos so there is no record of who accessed the property if a card is not left.

We do not have that rule and i for one am happy about that. Many agents leave oversize cards with "propaganda" about them or their company. Although going after a home listed is against the law, they are pushing the fine line. On owner occupied homes i now request in th eshowing instruction agents do NOT leave any cards.

I do not, our MLS does not require it. There are some Agents that will. Although some would say it shows who was in your house, I look at it as a soft solicitation of the seller.

Not a rule. The electronic LBs tell us who was in the property anyway. Ask me to leave a card = I will leave a card. If the property is not on LB and the seller lets me in, I will hand them my card.

Our MLS does not require it. I asked for in my listing but am going to stop that. There's no sense to it with electronic lockbox access, and it's just a waste of paper as I don't do anything with them. I'm with Bob Crane and Scott Godzyk  -- I might start asking that they NOT be left. ;)
