You make more money by selling more houses. New agents need to understand that like with any other business they need to spend money upfront to get their businesses off the ground to make money.

Reminds me of people asking if they "can" use the bathroom.  I have to bite my tongue from saying "That's more of a question for your doctor, isn't it?" and "I don't know, CAN you?"   I had way too many English teachers as friends growing up...

The bottom line for me is ... be exceptional and what I do and sell more homes. I'm not interested in diversifying my interests and focus beyond real estate. 

Talk to more people is the best answer.

I have a problem with the question, what makes a noob EXPECT for me to just share my elevator pitch? Why is that EXPECTATION (which is overboard) always attached to real estate?

It's a numbers game. Meet more people and stay in contact with them. share your heart and knowledge. Be useful

the least expensive way is to "Network with the Right People!"  It's a people business....people who know people can't help but win.

Both these mentors were very "ballsy" and I learned a great deal. I also learned I had to tone it down a little as neither of my mentors were really well liked by their piers (but damn were they successful).

Work smart, work hard.

The obvious answer is to sell more homes. But that is too easy of an answer. Real Estate, as with any business, it's about numbers. In order to earn more money, you need to sell more homes. In order to sell more homes, you need more clients. To get more clients, you need to know more people, so they get to know you. Finally, work harder. Do open houses, as many as you can. Not only for getting a buyer, but getting to know more people. Does your lender offer better programs, like FHAs with lower credit scores, or a 30 year fixed conventional with 1% down? The more programs they have, the more loans that are approved. 30% of consumers have FICOs of 620 or less. Find a lender that has programs that go down to 500 FICO and you'll gain 30% more people. And again, get your name in front of as many people as you can, by working harder than anyone

Concentrate on listing expensive homes, and sell them.

Being a bpo agent can pay very well if you do it right. It also can get you a great deal of listings if you do it right. But it is very hard to get into now. You need an in. As far as earning money, it is all about getting clients and selling homes. Be willing and able to work hard at it

Sell more houses.

Prospecting to begin with, then rinse and repeat! Give service worthy of referrals and you will soar!

The Real Estate industry is money centered already so no need to make it but instead to take it i.e. your share. How, why, what, where, who & when remains to be seen. This road is well-traveled and competitive

Find a good mentor who has a team where you can earn while you learn. As you develop your skills and save some money you will be ready to go off on your own.

Sell more properties. In order to sell, there are tons of blue print to follow. Act instead of talking, even if that action will fail, it will teach you a lesson, but not just sit there complaining and do nothing.

An agent needing to earn more needs to meet more people, engage and create a relationship of trust. The more people in your sphere, CRM and network, the more chances you have to earn more money.

I don't believe there is a pat, one size fits all answer to this. Each individual needs to sit down and do a hard self assessment as to why they are not earning enough and identify their strengths and weaknesses. Then identify what they are willing to do to earn more...some are not good at networking, some don't want or can't afford a coach or can't find a good mentor, some don't have the desire to do any of the above. It realy comes down to what works for each person and their individual needs and skills.

You got it - the "old fashioned way" - EARN IT! To earn it, above all you have to work hard. Being a little smart helps too; and nice and honest.

Selling lots of houses is the way that most agent make money.

Direst mail, knock on doors, get a printing press.

Find ways to leverage everything you can, people, money, time, everything. No matter how efficent and productive you are - eventually the solution to more is — Leverage
