The various boards in our areas have certain established days for "events".

5:30 or 6PM on Tuesdays or Thursdays...

Monday and Fridays are used for long weekend days or are just typically super busy working days. Wednesday evenings are church nights (remember I live in the South though - this may not apply to your area!), leaving Tuesdays & Thursdays open for broker open events!

Never a Monday or Friday..Tuesday or Thursday and 4-6..more agents will come then and can then make it home.

Thursday but I would do a lunch/brunch earlier in the day so that agents who have an interested customer can show that afternoon or evening.

 Adult beverages needs to be 5PM to 7PM.  Most socials here in Tallahassee are held on Tuesday or Thursday.

Later afternoon to dinner time, early evening. Except weekends. Depending on the property - just don't expect "crowds".

Any day but Monday, I am always up for a party.

We have our Broker's Open on Tuesdays from 11am -2pm... other areas like Thursday from 11am -2pm so  either way is good what ever your area is accustomed to...Endre

Out here they are done on Fridays from 11-4 usually.  The broker tour meeting starts at 9 or 10 and the tours commence after that.

Weekdays after 9pm, seems every other time is filled already.

I like 10:00am for a nice breakfast layout or 5:30PM and make it Happy Hour.

I'd attend either. And I agree with Dorie Dillard on days of week.

In Atlanta, those take place on Tuesday.

Zero, never. Have the agents bring the buyers - those are the actual people you want in the house.

Tuesday or Thursday are the best. Your area will dictate whether it should be a lunch or early evening cocktail event.

The best turn outs i have had were offering a lunch11 to 1pm

Tuesday 11-1:00 is most popular time around here.

Can't help you here... I haven't done one of these in more than 10 years and don't attend them myself. And if I were inclined to attend, it would not be a happy hour type of event... that is not what I want to be doing at that time of day.

I know Mondays and Fridays are not good in my area. All other days are pretty much equal depending what other major events are happening on those days. Lunchtime is best in my area, 11-2.

Thursday is the day.

the best time to hold a Broker Open House Event is lunch time....make it 11:00am to 2:00pm.... NO ALCOHOL TO REAL ESTATE AGENTS IN ANYONE'S HOME....not in a new home, either.... big liability....feed them, and they'll come....serve them drinks and they'll never leave.... you don't know what their tolerance level is and if they have an incident on the way home, guess who will be dragged into it!!

Broker opens are done on Wednesday morning in my area.  In office agent tours are on Tuesday after their weekly office meetings. 

I find lunchtime is a great time in spring/summer. It has become more difficult to get agents to go to a broker's open. Day of week is probably important too. I do see agents who have happy hour broker's opens. I don't know what their turnout is as I'm not likely to go that time of day.

I've done a few of these.  Per the reccomendation of Luxury Home Magazine we went with Thursday happy hour. 

Tuesday or Thursday later afternoon most likely.  But here, given we have Broker Open days in different regions you would likely get more to attend then, unless it's truly a unique house - ocean front with open house for sunset views for example. Broker Opens are usually lunchtime events in our area, on Tuesdays.

Don't want to be a party pooper, but serving drinks at the end of the day and then driving home is not a good idea. If you get picked up for DUI in California and Hawaii you are in a world of hurt with the real estate commissions. Of all the ones I've done, it's in Honolulu where they have them on Saturday morning always with a good spread of food, often their favorite lender co-sponsoring the brokers open.

Serve food and a few agents will stop by for a bite; serve adult beverages . . .  just be prepared for many attendees.

One of our best 'broker open' events was happy hour hosted at several condos on the Erie waterfront.  Agents were invited to bring their clients, too.

Above 1 mill do the Friday Happy Hour.

Below 1 mill do the Lunch however, do all within your power to build critical mass by gettint other agents to host simultaneously.

Our market is too busy, and don't see many broker opens, but sometimes Friday afternoon 4 pm.

Jordan ~ I have done evening Broker Opens for special properties and done them Tuesday or Wednesday evening.  For the most part, it seems that the turn out was tied to agents that were crossing through the area going to/from the office or an appointment.  No matter what evening you pick, it will conflict with a certain number of agent schedules due to prior commitments, so don't get thrown by that. 

The local custom for normal broker opens here in Northern VA is on Tuesdays for a couple of hours between 11am - 2pm.

We typically do a Wednesday 10:30 - 1:30 and/or a Friday 10:00 - 2:00.  It all depends on the property, price point.  Often I will hold a Thursday twilight 4:30 - 6:30 depending on the property.  I never serve alcohol at either a Broker or Public Open.  

Usually Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 11:30 and 1:30.

Our brokers' open house is usually on Friday 11-2 pm. But if alcohol is served and fancy food with DJ, it is twilight on Friday or Tuesday.

Generally Tuesdays are our broker opens. An agent in our office is throwing a party tomorrow 3-6 at a new listing she has. I have attended them on Tuesdays in the late afternoon. It is all about how busy everybody is and how you market it to everyone.
