I was active on many committees and served on the board of directors for many years.

I did years ago.  After several years I decided it was not how I wanted to spend my time or the people I wanted to associate with.

Twice the local president and yes a member. The state tourism association too. Pitch in and promote. Be part of the local community activities you work on behind the scenes. To plan, pull off and make even better than the one last year. Instead of just buying a ticket and attending the event be an integral part of it. Rotary, Elks, Masons are all great service avenues to improve your area, yourself!

I used to but have not in a few years. It use dto be locals and now it is corporate and not so friendly to the little guy

I thought about it.. inquired...we have many chambers, and there were way too many agents as members doing their thing... so I passed.

I like to hang out in networking groups that have no other agents.

Our brokerage is a member, and I actually joined this year (very affordable for the first '20' realtors who joined), for the first time.  I know I will not make all events, though am interested in seeing what it is like Hella M. Rothwell, Broker/Realtor®.   

I did for awhile and was even an ambassador. It did provide an opportunity to start a grassroots network separate from the chamber. It lasted a couple of years and some of us have stayed connected. I did earn a few loans from the Chamber but in the grassroots group I did loans for several for their personal homes.

I submitted a couple of proposals for some commercial listings, but it always seemed like the same brokerage always won the listings. The same thing happened with the local Association. Get several proposals so it looks like they are competing, but giving the listings to their favorite firm.

I am a member of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce.

When I was a bank manager, I was a member and became President of the Chamber of Commerce.

Still have many friends there.

I have a number of agents ask for this, so the brokerage is and all agents can go to events under the brokerage name.  But only a handful do.  Not sure if it is worth it.
