It would be nice if you could count on an Honest evaluation of these attributes, but I would not expect to find that anywhere.

Annette Lawrence , Palm Harbor, FL 727-420-4041 I replaced my $800 laser color printer with an Epson WorkForce printer. I got tired of paying $300+ for printer cartridges when the Epson to me looks like the same quality print at a lot lower cost.

I balance the reviews with initial investment and the cost of ink cartridge replacements.  High quality isn't a huge priority for me at this point.  If I need something more I enlist the professional courstesy of my active REALTOR® friends who have fancy schmancy printers in their office.

I usually stick with HP, and look at how fast it prints, then the reviews, but don't count on them.

I have an Epson WorkForce I have had for some time. Works for me, but HP ink easier to find and may be a bit cheaper. Maybe next time.

for my home office no.  for my work office where it gets use from multiple agents yes.  At home I see them as disposable... lasting no more than 2 years with pretty decent use because my husband prints a lot for his work also.

No, ink use, simplicity, and quality of printing are the most important for me. I also do not care about printers that you have to use their ink and their paper ~ gets too expensive.

Generally I trust Costco, but sometimes that creates a glitch as well. Although so far so good. I currently use an Epson, works better than the HP I had.

In my time in IT, I know alot about many of these items, but not all.  Resolution is important to know.  I know a lot of agents don't know about scan resolution, especially when I receive purchase agreements by email that are only 6 pages long, yet 30 megabytes in size.... seriously. Don't scan docs at such a high quality.

I found that HP color Laserjets have the best color print quality and speed for personal home or small office use.  Cartridges will cost you a lot more than the printer itself.  A small office could benefit leasing a color BizHub too.  Great color printing for flyers and what not. Fast ouotput too.

I purchased two Brother color laser printers years ago and I'm about to go "Office Space" on them both.

Just bought an HP laser printer and can't wait to try out all it's bells and whistles. Also have an old one, Epson, from which I do quantity printing. The ink jet ones always run out at the wrong time or, worse, dry up if you don't use them too often. Pain.
