I have to agree. The one that I saw most recently that was the military Captain who found booty in Afghanistan and was needing to get it out of the country.  Of course, a Captain is going to put his career on the line for some stash he found in a drug lord's palace. 

I cannot decide on one ... they are all stupid.

I've gotten that one too.  The stupidest spam I've gotten though are all the mail order bride scams. 

That's a new one on me, Fred. I got a really crazy one on Monday, but deleted it so fast I couldnt recreate the message at this point.

I got one much like that too....

I'm not sure what their angle is there.

I had a guy wanting to buy my listing...I was to give him my PayPal account s he could transfer money into it. Yea Right

I like the rich Nigerians who have done their due diligence and decided on me! And, I never heard of them. Interesting!

Fred Griffin I get one of those nigerian emails every month or so.... 

They come in all shapes and sizes; some that I thought were long since "played out" started repeating themselves. 

They all insult my intelligence!  

Add this one to the pile.

I get the following at least once a day - if you click on it, you are doomed!:

Somewhere, someone is at Western Union sending their money to an Encampment in Nigeria. 

I've actually heard that WU has held off on xferring money when it's being sent to a sketchy place- has saved many people from losing big!

What fascinates me more than the content of these emails is "who" they're from. It appears one is getting an email from a friend, relative, business associate, but if I right click on the name of the familiar person before opening the email itself, it shows an unfamiliar email address often ending in ru (Russian domain) or something similar.

Those that irritates me the most are from Linked In, they start with RE question and end up asking if I'm single, or sometimes go to a single question immediately......

I'm constantly getting one that says "your email has been canceled, if you didn't do this click here to log it"  uh, no.

seriously why would anyone sell att.org as a URL, you have to know they are up to no good with it.

They're all stupid, in my opinion!

I have gotten so many that I simply hit the delete button at the first sign of fraud.

There are often so many, I know how to spot them and delete them right away!

May I refer you to my agent waiting at the docks in San Pedro, California. He requires someone to sign for nine million dollars hidden in a metal cargo bin whose name is Mevrouw Cristel. Therefore if you have ID we can split the money say 50% 50%? although your name is spelled just one tiny bit different I am certain riches are on our way. PS bring s truck to load the cash.

I just delete or send them to the spam folder.

I am always amazed at the number of emails - request more information, rich Nigerian uncle, etc.

Fred Griffin - what we find very obvious is not so obvious for a few - and they do fall prey to it.
