Depends on the area.. it will almost certainly take a little longer to sell a $2,000,00 than it would a $500,000 home..the buyer pool is certainly diminished. Condos are moving but the prices have not escalated as much as detached homes.

There will always be less action on properties priced over a certain amount in my market... but they still sell and can sell quickly if marketed and priced properly.

Mike, it depends on the local market area and then the neighborhood and prices. And when there is low inventory, everything changes for both buyers and sellers. iMHO, our Santa Fe luxury home market depends on marketing and exposure and size of the home.

Out here it starts in March & April with condos, then moves to SFRs in the lower prices and eventually moves up to the high prices.  Progression is every 1-2 months the categories change as people move up.

Condo/apartments are the last to benefit.

from my 26 years experience it is both price point and regional.  When much of the country was back to growth we were still falling and when it turned... starter homes thinned inventory and moved in price long before more expensive larger homes.
