Yes, and I absolutely hate it.  Maybe because I'm used to spam calls and emails that I can deal with those but when I get a spam text, I really get ticked off.

I block any number who tries to spam me and do not get too many of them. I do the same with emaIl removing all spams opting out( that mostly comes from other realtors and vendors I never tried).
