I am not doing cookies! The naturopath is frowning on it.
But I have a recipe for sweet spicy roasted rosemary cashews that is so freaking awesome there is no need to miss cookies at all.
If you had asked about cupcakes, I would have a tear in my eye when I said the naturopath is frowning upon cupcakes as well.😢

My Grandma made something called "Springerly" that had a Annis (liquorish) flavor. They were a very hard cookie made using a special design rolling pin. I remember she would make them at least a month in advance and we were not allowed to eat them for about a month while they softened up.

In our house December is Cookie month. My wife, who loves to bake, last year did 3500 cookies. She makes about 15 different kinds and we make tins to give to her patients and my customers and agents. Strange things happen when they get cookies, like hiding them from their spouses and kids. Everyone who returns the tins, gets them refilled for next year.That's the rules
