That is the seller's responsibility. The way I see it they hired a Realtor to sell their house; they can hire a Plow to plow their driveway.

The exceptions- empty houses & the elderly or disabled; single mom's too... I'll be happy to help them out & I would just do it... I'm not the Bank of America.

If we have snow, showings are cancelled - NO one wants to venture out in the snow here. We joke that it's because no one seems to know how to drive in it since we so rarely have snow!

One of the advantages of living in Southern California....the days I think of shoveling snow are much different than when I lived on the East Coast.

Jeff Pearl Love the photo you choose.  Yes, we just hired a new snow plow driver for our own driveway. My husband or I will take care of steps and porch. In all my years as an active agent, the sellers took care of their own property or hire someone. Erie, PA averages 100 inches snow per season.

Not in Charlotte... we just wait for that little inch of snow to melt down (usually within 24 hours). And if it hasn't, it's the seller's lookout, not mine.

No problem with snow here, but I have been known to grab a broom on occasion.

We get no snow but the seller should have someone lined up..if they don't I'm sure several referrals can be given to them.

If seller is local, I have them do it. If not, I will do it myself prior to a showing.

I'll do what I have to do in a pinch but this needs to fall onto the sellers as part of taking care of their property.

If you take on the task of snow removal you are also taking on the liability should someone fall and get hurt because of snow/ice.

Leave it to the sellers most of the time. Sometimes I may assist a vacant home with outt of town sellers.

That is not an issue in my market.  I am sure that IF it did snow here ... we would all be out playing in it like a bunch of kids.  

Thankfully I don't need to worry about this issue here, but when back in Boston I always discussed with the sellers. I did a bit of my own shoveling a few times on vacant properties.

I have a friend who makes money that way every year but we get very little snow.

No, it is the sellers property and their responsibility.   I will provide numbers of companies that can perform those services if requested.

My own landscaper comes to me right away and then will go to any property that needs the service.

You cannot show the house if you cannot get to it.

With only a couple of little snows a year that generally disappears in a couple of days, I leave it to the sellers. On my commercial properties, I have someone that scrapes the parking lot, scraps and salts the sidewalks.

I guess it's like anything else like mowing the lawn, the seller takes care of it.

our sellers take care of their own properties, unless they have moved out...then we hire someone and the seller pays the bill.... if we need to pay it, we submit the bill at closing to be reimbursed.... never had a problem.

That's not usually part of the service I provide.  I think it is the Seller's responsibilitiy.. If they don't want to do it I can recomment a few services for them to use.

It is the sellers responsibility to insure the approach to the house is safe, clear and clean. I advise what is on the sidewalk and porch will be tracked into the house.

However, I do keep a leaf blower in the boot to  freshen up the approach by blowing away leaves and sand they may have accumulated.

Wether I blow it off at the start or clean it up after the debris is tracked in is a judgement call. I choose 2 minutes with the blower.

If a Seller has moved, I will make sure they do, and if they ask me, I will get one set up, otherwise it is their responsibility.
