You can easily get around 1k daily+ blog entries and comments, so 40k-50k is quite doable if you are willing to spend 2-3 hours in here daily. 

Also, the more active you are, the faster you get more points. My first 100k took forever to get.

When I was gunning for my 500k ASAP, I was earning betweeen 35,000 and 42,000 each month.  Could get more some months when I did and won contests and had bonus points awarded for other random things.

 

Now, I'm in no rush to climb the leaderboard.  960k is keeping me happy.  I just hit the Q&A section each day, like I did when I started.  Every once in a while I blog.

2016 I averaged 20,000 monthly.

2017 is dramatically less. Much less blogging because of the 'issues' inherent with  unstable formating  present on Active Rain.

5 to 10K monthly now.

However, I only notice points when someone asks a question that compels taking a look.   I have NO POINT GOALS.

Points are a fabricated value. 

Real value is reflected in followers. But even that is a compromised value with the reciprocity mindset.

My goal is to add a little substance to the community. Yes, I know, that is the goal we all have, right?
