My truck, Old Red, has a cassette eater so I don't listen to music much of my choice. 

I did, however,  borrow my wife's car to run up to Chicago to pick up my daughter's wedding veil last week, and when I got onto the death trap known as I-80/94 I cranked up TOP GUN  to get the adrenalin pumping to drive like the maniac it takes to survive on the Chicago interstates/toll roads.

Silly. You NEVER turn off the car until the song ends.

There are very few songs that will cause me to sit in the car waiting for the song to end... but there are a few.

and this one, which you very rarely hear on commerical radio.  I did just that, when I heard it, and sat in front of the house while it played.  My wife came out to the car, wondering what was wrong... and why I'd been sitting in the car for so long...  when I rolled down the window and she heard the song... well, she rolled her eyes and walked back into the house.  We were divorced soon afterward.

I've been known to wait out this one, too.

Good to be Alive

There are SO many... I never don't finish a Ricky Nelson song, and always finish listening and then dry my eyes if If Heaven wasn't so far away is playing. Killing me softly, You're so vain, That's what friends are for, Aquarius, Sugar Sugar, Free Bird, Smoke on the water, Bohemian Rhapsody and Hotel California.  

Whew....  Oh and all of the above are on my phone's play list.

PS: After reading the comments of others I must confess it seem irreverent to leave in the middle of Hallelujah  This version is a good complement to BARBER: ADAGIO for Strings.

It changes. And usually I listen in my car to podcasts or webinars( prerecorded, so I can pause and replay:) 

I rarely get to do that as there are many songs I love and time is so carefully planned that there are not extra minutes to listen to music. I hope that will change.
