Depends on the situation but I'm always "carrying" myself...my question is why is this being asked anonymously....sorry but I'm reporting as a question that shows no need to be asked anonymously.  Really?

I always carry  my phone... has nothing to do with showing houses. All clients received a professional, printed itinerary of each house we are looking at on a specific day. And why ask this question anonymously?

iPad is very handy, it was like my Swiss Army Knife tool for real estate. To me size matters, I use a BIG Mac Daddy one for investment presentations. When in real estate, the regular sized one was sufficient for e-contracts and of course for viewing the MLS.

Mini iPad for me and the full-sized one for the buyers with the tour set up for them and a 'note' pad for them to take notes - as well as an email account so they can send themselves the notes they took during the tour.

(for CRE) I prepare a tour package for the client which shows our destinations, their relative locations and compare/contrast summaries, with room for notes. I will carry paper copies of MLS or portal listing myself on a clipboard with a legal pad. I will also have the same on my phone in case we need to zoom in or look at pictures. Lugging around a laptop just weighs me down.
For residential, I actually do something somewhat similar except without the summaries.

No photo.. no response.... Why exactly are you hiding? We are all (other than a few anonymous people) mature adults, and licenced professionals sharing information..  

I give them the MLS print out. I don't have time to stand in a house and flip through pictures or conduct searches for other listings in the community.

I take printouts for the buyer to take notes, I have my cellphone for making appointments and tracking the showings and my ipad to make it easier for searching tax data, schools, etc.

iPhone with all applications installed. We are completely paperless in CA to save what is left of the forest.

I make up a proposal which is sent to the potential client prior to the appointment. If they like what they see, they will call me to discuss it further. If not it only cost me a proposal. During the appointment I discuss the proposal, answer questions and provide an extensive valuation of the property. The valuation will form the basis of a pricing structure to successfully sell the property.
