Kathy Schowe is a Pro, and Carol Williams is pretty good too.

I gave up the game out of frustration. James Dray lives to tee it up!

There's Carol Williams and James Dray -- but that's all I know. I'm not a golfer as my astygmatism doesn't lend itself well to the game.

My recommendation is to seek out an LPGA or PGA teaching professional in your area- and sign up for a series of lessons. Starting out with good fundamentals will get you off to a good start on a game you can play and enjoy for the rest of your life!

I'd guess that you might have many, many golfers here.... not sure about their handicap though!!
I use weight training and weight lifting to release pent up energy and refocus....

One of Tallahassee's finest golf clubs is For Sale. I remember when they broke ground for it, we dine at the Clubhouse, the guy in the pro shop is a friend of a friend, etc.
Asking price is $2.5 million. Give me a call and I will be happy to assist you with the purchase. I can represent you well, because I know the land, the zoning, the neighborhood. My attorneys can help us jump through the legal hoops regarding the HOA and the Government land use rules.
*What better way to learn the sport, than to own your own golf course?

Debbie Reynolds hit my weakness with her comment. I started playing the game when I was 14 and have been playing it ever since. It can be addictive and is a game that cannot be mastered, as very few days are similar.
To learn the game you should get some lessons to learn the basics and spend a lot of time hitting balls but not at a place where you can hit it off a mat, but off the ground so you get a true feel for a good shot.
I was a single digit handicap when younger and am relegated to low teens now as the courses seem to have gotten longer.
Learn the game by walking as it will force you to focus more and do not be afraid to play alone. I had a career where I traveled a lot for my job and would always take along the basics and rent clubs when the chance arose.
Over my 55 years of playing I have gotten 7 HIO and don't know how many eagles, one just last week.
And as a courtesy for anyone you may have around you, if you can't play well, at least keep a steady pace.
Good Luck

I was a scratch golfer Karen and I never had a lesson in my life, aside from a few tips from a friend. I started playing golf in my 40's and played 15 years. I lost my golf clubs in our flood in 2011 and haven't played since.

I am great at putting and finding the woods on Tee off as well as finding any water present. If you need a lesson on hitting it in the water, im in.

I am left handed. Years ago (last century) I was told lefties could not play golf. You know what? Although I am not good, I have learned that righties can't either. But it is fun!

I play every week during the season. First lesson is to get clubs made for your swing and speed, second and maybe first is to get lessons. Otherwise it is a game that is a challenge, have fun

Find a pro and take lessons and play as much as you can. I play 2-3 times a week so days it all comes together and other days you would wonder if I had ever seen a club in my life. lol I have had 2 holes in one.

Boring. Takes too long. Risk of getting stuck with obnoxious people for four hours. Time until you get good at it: Infinity.

Tennis is my game. Golf seems too slow, but I hear it's very "contagious" and difficult to master. Good luck with it.

I have not ever enjoyed this sport, and know Carol Williams plays often.

I used to be a good golfer, but haven't played in many years. My suggestion would be to just go out there and practice, the more you practice, the better you will get. Just think straight back and straight through and if you are able to do that, the rest is easy!

Carol Williams I know golfs and there was someone who's husband has a coaching business for golf, but I can't remember who off hand.
