Yes, hit the delete button in the spammer's comment box. You can also pray that it would stop.

Who did you get spammed by? The crazy one that's all over the rain this past 2 days?  I don't even want to say the name or they'll show up here too. I've reported a ton of his/her comments and I hope  staff zaps this kook soon.

I think everyone above has covered the bases. I had a similar thing happening WordPress blog. I had to disable comments to keep spammers from attaching their dribble to it.

Sometimes I reply to it with a Lorem Ipsum paragraph before I hit report.

I hate spammers. All you can do is delete and report them.

Typically I hit report.  Hopefully AR Support will "find" the offending party and delete the comment and member if necessary.  If for some reason the comment remains or is overly offensive -- I may delete it myself.

How ironic they spammed a post about spammers and scammers!  Anyway, once it is reported, I'm sure A/R will dispatch a solution at some point.  In the meantime, perhaps you can disable comments, at least temporarily?  That's all I have.

Report it.  The protocol was that AR would block the sender's IP address.  I have no idea if they still do that. A

You can delete the comments. It is frustrating I know.

Report, but unless it is offensive, leave it up so that AR can get the IP address and block them.  

We live in an age where some do not want to put their talent to positive use!

Nope, short of disabling comments when you write the blog.

One option not mentioned is 'disable comments.'
