An anonymous person wanting a recommendation for a portable scanner. Interesting!

I have a portable magic wand, but it's not a printer.

People have enough distractions on the road.  Keep your hands on the wheel -- 10 and 2 -- please.   

I use my phone, works good, free app.

We have offices all over the place that we can stop in and scan or I can wait until I get home to do so. I don't need a portable one in my car. But, there are free apps if you don't have that luxury.

Google has an app for that ( PhotoScan). Scannable if you have Evernote ( IOS only), or Office Lens ( Android and IOS I think). Other option Flip Pal, or check and see what your local genealogy society uses. Portable scanner is a must have if you do genealogy research.

I got one several years ago and used it a few times before I learned I had an app for that. Love, love, love using my Genius Scan app with my iPhone. I even use it at home though I have a scanner in my home office. It is one of the basic tools in my Realtor toolbox.

When I am on the road I concentrate on driving. Don't you?

Scanner Pro.. Its an app.  I have it on my iPhone and iPad.  Works great, no need for a portable scanner...

I use i-scanner on my iphone.  It was $4.99 and works pretty darn well.

I used to use the one from the Neat Company, but have not needed a scanner in years from the road, as I'm paperless and so are most of my service providers.

CamScanner App on a smart phone does the trick. No need to purchase a separate device.-Kasey

I don't... I can't remember the last time (if ever) I needed to scan something on the road.

Not that techie to have one for the road.

I don't.  If I really need a scan I will take a photo with my phone.

I use CamScanner app on my phone. It's free. Creates pdf files on the spot, which can then be emailed to relevant parties. One of my top apps.

I use the Scanner Pro app from Readdle for my IPhone 7 Plus. I bought it with the bundle but individually it's about $2.99. One of the best apps ever.

Save your money, that is outdated technology, there are several great scanners that you can download to your phone, I have been using CamScanner for several years and love it.

 I use the smart phone.  The camera is powerful enough, use a tripod to steady it.  You can then email it from the camera.

If I need a copy immediately I use my iphone app for scanning and forwarding( free).

There are plenty of free apps for phones that will convert a picture to PDF. They come with great features like auto-straightening, cropping, adjustments for brightness and contrast, etc.

no, I've never owned one....  don't need it....

CamScanner seems to work pretty well. I've never had to use it on the road though.
