most of our homes are stick framed .... builders don't use trusses....many want a walkup attic....cheap space to finish and it adds to the square footage....

good grief Belinda - I'm going to read your blog - I have no idea about this but will reach out to some other folks around here that primarily sell new construction and will also see if builder reps are willing to admit they even use those trusses. Perhaps you've become the 'canary in the coal mine'
