Believe it or not I had a armored personnel carrier in the garage of a condominium that I was trying to sell and it belonged to the son of my deceased client!

Yes, that happened on one estate listing. My husband was a car guy and could have restored it. Still, I wouldn't take on something like that due to the possibility of it coming back to bite me as a conflict of interest, regardless of the circumstances.

I had a similar situation recently where the owner died. His van was in the driveway and he still owed money to the bank for it. The son who was the sole heir, decided to let the bank come and take it...

Only when i saw a car that had been stripped in a garage in a foreclosed property.

I have and now our local ordinance will not allow towing without a police citation issued to the vehicle owner. If you tow without it, you get the citation.

WE had them in the REO market. RV's, Boats, Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles. Big pain in the butt to post and store, send notifications, blah, blah, blah. We had a big Troy Built high weed mower the size of a tractor sitting on a junk pile. I took it to my small engine repair guy and $150.00 later I had a gorgeous running machine! We had a dward pony trailer once! Big one (for dward ponies that is).

Thankfully, that's the one thing that hasn't been left behind! We've dealt with them in the past, but not in recent memory. Sounds like you have the right idea.

Yes, several times. Usually not a problem. Some are worth getting title to and keeping, others i gave to junk man to take to scrap yard.

Yup! A big 'man truck' was up on blocks in a foreclosed property that our buyers bought. What a mess....police were involved and it took awhile as it was stolen property.

Oh my heavens ... yes. Two vehicles. What a nightmare. Owner was deceased for years and the administrator lived out of state.

Yes, we've done abandoned vehicle tows. Call towing company, they come get it, if owner wants it back they will pay for towing and storage . . .

Nathan Gesner Getting the title is a major issue. I've never had to deal with this.

Two cars were dumped on premise among a 3000 sf barn accumulated over the years. It took 12 truck trips and two tows.... Complete disaster.

Yes. One of my clients was selling an investment property and a vehicle was left behind. He contacted his attorney who advised him as the manner to properly handle.

No, I haven't Nathan Gesner but, if I did, I would do what Barbara Todaro suggested and just have someone come remove it!

Dealing with it depends on state stautes. Unless it is worth something as a usuable vehicle, consider junking it!

You need to follow the regulations in your state and your local community.

Fortunately, not a problem I've encountered (yet), Nathan. Whether it's worth the trouble to get new title depends on how badly you want that motorcycle.
