It depends on your target audience.  The older senior citizens will not be as comfortable with the latest tech as, say, the millennials.   You need to be able to serve those you do business with.  It might mean being a bit of a chameleon.

That's really a great question. I find myself talking less face to face or on the phone now. Between email & texts they would never hear my voice.

There are still people that would prefer a hard piece of paper to mull things over in their decision & I still respect that.

Lots of fancy things but will they get you the job? Possibly just eye candy for those that are less qualified?

We have to adapt or die. We accommodate older clients the old school ways, but younger people need us to keep up with changing technology. And our agents have to do this as well. We never fax anymore (except to government offices). We utilize electronic signatures, electronic file storage and all the use of the internet to be found.

You will know when to roll out the high tech savvy business practice by reading your client. If they are sitting in the car with both phones or ipad minis burning up you know time to rock and roll with high technology! If you've got a lisitng appointment with a "greatest generation" or older Boomer and they resemble a scene out of "That 70's Show" then use the Mini as a show and tell device. Docu-sign? Probably not. I'm a big beliver in "mirroring". However, if the high tech millenial market is for you then you are already there!

If serving consumers who want to work with us is the goal -- we must adapt our way of doing business.

If the goal is to only work with certain types of consumers, that's another choice.

Yes, I like being paperless, makes life much easier. I do not think it can help to win business because everyone expects you to be mobile and digital, you can loose business if you do not provide high tech service to those clients.

How about realtor less online purchase?

Until you win the bid there is no paperwork. If you won bidding and want out, you lose $2500 deposit. The runner up gets the house.

I agree with Carol Williams. It really depends on the audience. Our millennial clients love our tech savvy company. Older clients need a little more paper and less blue screens.
