Does the color of bathroom walls influence sold price?

I doubt it - unless the color is "hideous"!

I would say, generally speaking, natural light has more $$$ value than any specific colors.

I don't know that I can put a number on anything like this, but I do know that the more neutral a color is, the fewer objections I hear from buyers that they need to spend money on repainting.

I agree with Nina Hollander - if a buyer sees something that needs repainting the value of the house goes down. I don't think you can put a price on it but a bathroom is bigger to repaint than a door.....

Sad that people need it spelled out, lack of vision and need to walk into perfect instead of possessing the ability to imagine it. YES, color matters more than it doesn't...not sure how much it can be the silver bullet though?

How do they figure an actual amount?  We do have buyers who can't see past paint colors, and we have to remind them it can be changed, so sometimes it does help or hinder a sale, but I'm not sure how they calculate the actual #.  -Kasey

"the eye buys" and for some, that's a negative that would influence their offer.... the majority would not consider it an issue.... they have their own taste in colors and the cost is not out of reach....

Annette,

Ireally doubt that it would hinder the sale.  Our home in Los Angeles had several layers of wallpaper, the last one being a newprint style, it was hideous, and we loved the house.  People are not that stupid.  A

No - it may influence the SALE (time on the market) but, painting a bathroom may cost $400 - $500 - it certainly won't influence the sales price though.

As with any room, color matters to a buyer to a point. They can always paint over it. But take 2 houses, same everything but one needs paoint and others doesnt, the one that does not need paint will get picked first if price is the same

I tend to discard most of what RIS Media says.  I find maybe 20-30 articles a month worth sharing across all their outlets.  I'd probably make a joke out of how zillow can't even get a home's price right, how can they figure out colors and value to them.  Then end it with a #NoZillow hashtag.  :)  Saw that on here from another local area agent and adopted it for my anti-zillow posts.
