I think you have OJ Simpson's vote!
WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS STAYS IN VEGAS didn't work too well for him.

Never wise to advertise a negative.
Would not affect me since I seldom drink.

I just read the article and the campaign is from a group of Idahoans who oppose the new law. I think it will affect tourism and the restaurant industry's profit margins more than housing. Interesting, the article said that 100 countries already have .05 as their BAC.-Kasey

I like slogans that are more positive myself - not sure I would go with the one suggested but, I can't IMAGINE that it would have an impact on the housing industry!

It might have a negative impact on the part of the Utah tourist industry that likes drinking wine or beer with dinner (no idea how many people that is)

Utah has always been anti-alcohol. It's not a bad thing to restrict the consumption of alcohol if a person is going to be driving. The statistics are very grim:
"Over 50% of accidents are caused by alcohol-impaired drivers. Over 50% of all fatal highway crashes involving two or more cars are alcohol related. Over 65% of all fatal single car crashes are alcohol related. Over 36% percent of all adult pedestrian accidents are alcohol related."

Don't know that those who come for vacation have a real impact on the housing industry; maybe on the hospitality industry. I'm all for reducing blood alcohol levels. There is no excuse to drink and drive.

Hard to say. It could impact some, Seems like more of a potential issue for tourism than the housing market

Not if they couple it with more 'edgey' life style offers.
Messages like, "Friends will bail you out BUT GOOD FRIENDS will say, "That was fun. Find a good friend in Utah!"

I've always associated Utah as the place to go for everything except drinking. I think the DUI laws are insane with regard to BAC, but I don't think this change impacts housing. Just stay at home and drink, or Uber, or walk, or do one of the million other things you can do to not drink and drive

A certain religious group is no longer the majority in that state, but they still control virtually every position in Government, from local to state. You are correct - a petite person could knock down a couple of glasses of wine or a double scotch on the rocks, and blow a .05

The housing industry will not suffer. The tourism industry won't take a blow until many are arrested. Could hurt restaurants and sporting venues.

I don't think it will have a negative impact on the housing industry. It will affect the people who drink alcohol.
