I have closed my ears to all this insanity after HB-2 Bill in North Carolina. I am sick of pandering to one tenth of one percent of our population. It looks like Governor Moonbeam has struck again... I lived in CA the first time he was Governor and am very happy I don't now.

President Kennedy put a man on the moon and Obama puts a man in the ladies restroom. Before he started this mess, simply, if you have man parts you used the mens room, lady parts used the ladies room. people transitioning used the restroom of what they transitioned to and no one saw an issue. Most never even noticed. They just did it. Here in NH we had an issue as soon as Target made their changing and bathroom gender neutral, a man filming young girls. It was a big case here as it he got away with it a few times until a group of young girls chased him down. My opinion is the governemnt creates more problems than it solves when it sticks its nose in things. There is room for everyone and when a law tramples on 999 peoples rights and safety out of 1000. The law is wrong. We need a law for some common sense.

I still wonder what some people are doing in the restroom to make it necessary to have all these distinctions.
All they really need is a sign that says "Restroom", and then when you go in there you mind your own business and ignore what others are doing in there.

Scott Godzyk and Nina Hollander - and while we are on the topic of California ... do we even need to mention the homeless and the endless trash that is everywhere ... neighborhoods have become random dumping grounds.

I sure hope not - the insanity is one reason I moved from Ca. - your lawmakers are nuts and consequently so are the voters since they continually re-elect them LMAO

Why should single stall restrooms be gender specific? There have been many times at prior offices or restaurants where the men's room is in use and the ladies is open. Both are one hole and plumbed the same (no urinal, just a toilet). Made no sense for them to be gender specific.
I'm not looking at this from a gender issue or "other" issue, just from an effective allocation of resources issue.

We don't live on the left coast. Houston did try and whas blown out of the water. Since then, just the other day, the Texas legislature passed a law that you go with your born gender, not who you feel like you are today.

First, I never understood why single-stall restrooms had gender labels to begin with. You're in there by yourself (or maybe with your child). This will cut down the back-up of the line for the women's room!
I have no ideas as to how to explain the transgender concept to a child. I guess I'd just say that this bathroom is for anyone's use and leave it at that.

I love how they've turned this into a political firestorm over "rights". Unisex bathrooms have been around as long as I've been alive. Make em' unisex and separate them with adequate privacy, problem solved.
I've blocked out all of the noise though, and I've already accepted that California's legislation will continue to be batshit crazy as long as we've got our current "leadership" in place. Can't wait for the next gas tax spike to pay for "roads".

It used to be called "unisex" or family restroom. As long as it's a one-stall place with a door that locks to the outside so that privacy is ensured, I don't care what it's called.
