Ken Jones LoopNet fell short when they changed their listing exposure policy years ago.

There are MANY business enterprises including Active Rain that do not publish a telephone number.
Others outsource their support to another continent and will respond within 24 hours.
And an overwhelming segment of society have no problem with this contemporary business model.
Customer service is often defined as clear expectation as opposed to instant gratification. AND the overwhelming majority will say the service is just fine.
Is it possible that real estate agents trying to 'out service' each other have created an environment that is not valued by the consumer in our race to deliver outstanding customer service? We may be the last to embrace this model of customer service.
How can a real estate agent create a 'no touch' business and thrive?
That is a serious question.

I have been less than impressed with loopnet in several ways, and automated systems of any kind are generally a pain unless they have great tech support, which may not be the case here.

I'll have to check and see what you're talking about. I'm a premium member and I have never had a problem talking to a human on the telephone.

Frustrating for sure. It seems many companies have a one way in with money. The door only swings in with money. It does not open for customer service. It seems to be the way of the world these days. Frustrating for sure.

Gave up on Loopnet awhile back. Also too many listings with a 10 cap which of course were missing a few details.

I haven't had to use that software, but I agree that would be frustrating.

I use to use loopnet for land listings, and a few auctions, but never really got much serious interest from buyers on there. When CoStar bought them, I haven't had a need to use them again. The Commercial section of our MLS seems to work fine for listings, although many agents don't list commercial properties in the MLS. Your situation does sound annoying.

Customer service in most industries is a thing of the past - most of them are located outside the US and barely speak english

I have a listing on Loopnet and used them more in the past than recently, but haven't encountered any situation that I needed to contact them directly. Hope you find a solution.

I've never heard of LoopLink or Loopnet, Ken. What do they do (or in your case what do they not do)?

Ken Jones - that's the way all customer service is going!
I prefer to talk to someone for sure.

I have vague memories of Loopnet. Let me go to that site and try to remember what it is about.

I have used Loopnet but not had any encounter with Looplink. Anytime you can't get through to customer service it stinks.
