I get lined notebooks and put all my miscellaneous notes in there, who calls, what I do. It's not formal, but I can go back to 2009 and find out what I've done every day since then. My checklist for each day is in there, and I can go back easily and see what I've done when. No "post its" all over or scribbled notes. Also good in case you ever have to prove what you did when for a client; it's recommended when you take your real estate license.
