I can't speak to that.  I can however tell you that my agents don't do it, but I don't mind when an agent calls me if they have an issue with something/someone at my office.

I did not have any success with going through a broker when I was affiliated with a brokerage.  That, among other things, is why I went independent. When I get no response from an agent ... I call the agent's broker. Sometimes that helps ... sometimes it does not.

yes... there's no reason to go through the rank and file....just call and state your issue....

I've only had one in a 39 year period....I called the broker owner and "shared my thoughts" directly.... and he saw it my way and addressed it immediately....he followed up with me, and the problem never happened again....

This should be part of the brokerage policy. The agent works for me and should go through me, the broker, to make formal complaints. Why? Because it affects the whole brokerage. I am responsible for my agents.

Complain? Of course not.

Advise? You bet.

Depending on the situation, I will not 'go through' my  broker but will take measures so my broker is not ambushed or broadsided.

Compensation for transgression is due "ME" not my broker, contrary to my brokers interpretation to their entitlement.

Peter - I would never go that route, this is an issue that needs to be addressed at the broker level, and you can be certain that the other broker will be calling your broker about the issue.  Don't put your broker in the position of being the last one to know.

This would go under the heading of bad ju-ju in my opinion...
