I have not used the AR scheduling feature since I first tried it out a long time ago because it did not work at that time.

I sometimes schedule a blog for a future day/time. This could be to improve exposure. It could be that I've maxed my blogging points for the week so I'll kick the post to the next week. Sometimes, I write three blogs in a day and want to spread them out. Finally, I have recently learned that a blog written on Sunday gets almost no response so I should keep good blogs for the work week when people are active.

The scheduler has not worked in years so .... realtime is the way to go.

I write in GoogleDrive, then put them in draft and typically schedule the day before so they are published in the morning.  

I schedule blogs and reblogs in advance. It makes it easier to have a full schedule.

For example, I am current scheduling daily reblogs for May.

Timing is everything... if agents, brokers knock off for the weekend, you want that blog post casserole to whip out, heat up and get online for the bots to index...

I do use both. I like to post in real time. But sometimes I know when a post needs to be published but I also know I won't be around a computer to do so. So then I use the delayed posting feature and cross my fingers that it works. :) 

Auto post is usually broken.  For most things I post right away.  For some (like reblogs) I schedule in the future.  If it's Saturday or Sunday and I'm at my 10 blog cap, I schedule for Monday and cross my fingers that it works.

I've always posted in real time but would schedule one if it were time sensitive and now is not the right time.  Let's say I was going away for a month and wouldn't have access to the internet or didn't want to work and the 4th of July was coming up.  I'd then post it delay until around June 20th.

Most are real time but if I have time I will write one in advance.

Real time.  If I ever had time to write several at once I'd delay it maybe, but I hardly post as mush as I should to begin with so buy the time I write it, on the blog it goes. -Kasey

I do both - some I want to publish on the fly but other I want to publish based on the day of the week or time of the month - it's what my webmaster tells me to do!

Most of my articles are "scheduled" for delayed posting.  I usually have a daily theme* plus random posts, so when I write an article I schedule it for the appropriate day.    I try not to post more than 10 blogs per week, so the overflow gets pushed out.  I tend to write in spurts, as time allows.  I don't think it is effective, from a readership point of view, to post a batch.    I have two main reasons for the 10 blog number: 1) I think 10 blogs a week is plenty to post and 2) We only get points for 10 per week... so I like to carryover. 

* The daily theme has taken a back seat until I get caught up on vacation and contest posts.

Real time, I don't delay much of anything.

Mostly, we post in real time. Occassionally, when I'm on a roll and churned out 3-4 posts at a time, I'm more likely to schedule them to post in the future. I don't want to clog the blog rolls, for one, and I find that my blog posts get more attention when they're published in the morning than in the afternoon.

I don't use the posting fuction anymore as it had too many issues. 

The delayed feature is great if you write a series of related posts but want them published over time to generate interest and expectation.

It depends, when i have time, i may write a few blocks and post them out for the future. But then go back and re-edit and post live. Some days i have a story i cant wait to share and write and post right away. My market reports i write in a bundle and post out in the evenings f the upcoming week.

Real Time - I've just never considered another option.

I am really confused lately I keep seeing very old questions sometimes anyone know why? Hope you found your answer but I doubt anyone will see my answer since the question is so old

Peter - I typically just post in real time. I don't get too concerned whether it is in the morning, afternoon, or what day it is. Plus, I have heard rumors that the delayed posting feature doesn't always work.

Sometimes I do a few posts in one day when I have time at the computer, and use the delayed posting feature.  

I generally post them as I write them.

Peter Mohylsky - posts are real time. Some re-blogs may be scheduled, though.

I post with a delay so the east coast reads it first, I seem to have more fans on the east coast
