Seriously, most of the craziest things that I've ever seen have had to do with the behavior of other agents.

Nothing terribly freaky at all. And by the way, this is not a forum to push your products/services. You can always write a post about them.

Not in a house but happened in a house.  An agent showing one of my listings locked herself out and decided the best way to get back in was to kick the door from the garage into the house to open it. Door frame was broken, seller was irate, I was fit to be tied and she, yes she...said it was not a big deal.  $395 later to install a new door frame it was a big deal.  That agent got off easy.  

What's strange is what becomes normal in this business!

Hoarders and naked people rank about the highest.

I dunno if it's the craziest, but it is in my highlight reel. I was showing a couple a vacant Rancho Santa Fe mini-mansion, 10,000 sqft and we thought we were alone, had been in the house 20 minutes when I walked into the master bedroom leading the couple to see a young woman towel drying her hair, bent over, backside towards me. "HELLO!" 

I back peddled so fast I collided into the husband behind me who got in big trouble with his wife, because as I was trying to get out, he was trying to get a better look.

Turns out she was an out of town family friend, using the house to get ready for a family wedding (seller's family) she was a bridesmaid for. The owner's had let her use the home as a crash-pad for the weekend without telling anyone.

The Realtor in me was mortified. The man, not so much. My client, well let's say the drive to the next home was full of some choice words from his wife.

Nat Wallen A few years ago I had an appointment to list a home. I met with the owner and listed the property. After he signed the paperwork, he asked me to get out a Purchase Agreement because he wanted to buy it back. Divorce cases can be fun. The Wife wasn't going to agree with anything he wanted. The deal eventually fell through and foreclosed.

Can't say I have anything particularly crazy or freaky to add. Your question, I think, is kind of a sneaky way to lead into publicizing your services which is not really appropriate here. How about writing posts about them. You will likely get more eyes, too.

I'd have to say the craziest things I see in real estate is right here in the AR community ... primarily in the Q&A Section ... of repeated questions and people using the Q&A to sell the goods and services.

I absolutely agree with Candice. Some agents words or actions  make my stomach feel funny...no judgment though. 

Showing a home and their 15 year old son was sleeping in one of the bedrooms in his underwear.  We left REALLY fast.

I wish I still had the photo, but it was a 2 story house with a door on the back of the house, 2nd floor, that led to nothing.

It was clear there was supposed to be a deck or something there, but it was just a doorway to a really big drop.  These folks also had an above ground swimming pool that was used as a dumpster.  I assumed there was some major financial issues they were dealing with.

Took a short-sale listing where a winter-time broken pipe in the upstairs bathroom ran for two weeks before the water was turned off.  The mold kept growing through the warmer months while the Big bank took forever to approve a deal.

Last 12 months. A showing that promoted a 'deceased persons' call.

24 months - Showing my PREMO listing adjacent to Starkey Ranch Preserve when a 'herd' of wild boars charge from the brush. Thank God and Century Fences for chain link.

During the 'Winter Years' a showing in a house without utilities. Open door between laundry and garage and through the pitch blackness could 'sense' someone lurking in the darkness. OJ could not have caught me on ensuing sprint.

I'll head to your profile to see what your start-up is. I like to know about those who  are hustling to make things happen. I don't share the same sentiment others have expressed.

You need to presenting your solution to new agents and many of them are right here. Just change it up a little.

I have seen naked people and though it didn't freak me out, it was  a totally unwanted encounter from both sides.

I sell REO homes, i get crazy every day. My G rated story was a horder house where each room was stuffed but with the same thing. Such as 1 room all green plastic bottles, 1 all cans, 1 brown bottles, 1 shopping bags and the worst, was all the household trash

Hoarding is an issue - but an interesting item is a lava tube found in the crawl space of the home, which the owners ended up opening more and have a fantastic wine storage area.

Human bahaviors.

Biggest one was a house that I knew was vacant for years, I was showing the house next door to it and as we looked out the window we saw the chimney moving wildly and it was not windy. Watched a family of raccoons crawl out of it. But our imaginations were prepared for anything at that time.

Too many to pick just one! It comes with the territory! Unexpected, but happens nonetheless!

A marijuana grow house fill in the rafters with sprinklers and watering lines.  The home was totally torn apart.  I wouldn't allow my buyer to make an offer on the home at any price due to the chances of past clients showing up stoned.

I had a buyer break into a home he was buyig and then could not get the loan.

3 huge 450 pound pot belly pigs at a luxury home showing - and the la never mentioned a word about them. It was crazy!

While traveling in New Orleans, property For Sale signs routinely had riders declaring "Haunted" or "Not Haunted". 

I've seen some pretty crazy things, nothing really sticks out as the craziest.

The only thing I can think of right now I didn't actually see, another agent in my company did - an owner with a huge pet alligator living in their basement, uncaged and left there even during showings.  What is even more freaky to me is that alligators are one of my fears, a reason why I could never live in places like Florida that have them, and this house was in my neighborhood where I lived at the time.....in Idaho...-Kasey

I can't think of anything "crazy".... everyday is as crazy as another...but nothing outrageous...

Pretty standard stuff.

Years ago when illegal, a renter had a marijuana lab elaborately set-up and concealed in a home which is how he was paying the rent and then some.

Sorry to say, Nat Wallen, but I feel the same way as Nina Hollander - this is not the place to promote your products.

I think the HUGE snake in the master bedroom sunken tub, that escaped!

I was showing a house and the owners had a friend living in the basement. It was like a dungeon full of swords, knives, dragons, lots of games, etc. As the buyers walked through the door, a sword hanging over it fell down and just missed the client's head! It was a dull broadsword but weight about 20 pounds and would have left a mark!

The things that have come out of the mouths of some of the less capable agents and transaction coordinators.

I had someone ask me to list their haunted house. You'll hear about alleged haunted homes built on Indian burial ground here in CT. I know that sounds very Scooby-Doo but the stories exist. I didn't think too much about it until I went in the house- but that's a topic for a blog post. Spooky,
