You got to be lucky to make it work....

Rotate your photograph in a program such as GIMP and resave first.

Open it in an editing program, make sure it is oriented correctly, then do a save as, then it should work correctly.

Not sure. I started with this portrait, and it stayed portrait. Are you taking pics with cell phone?

That is so bizarre.  I have not experienced that before. Maybe the AR Gremlins are at work again. I hope the support ticket is responded to in a timely manner.  

This happens from time to time and the only solution I found was to do a print screen and then crop it through paint and upload a new picture. Hopefully someone else has an easier process.

I think you have to orient it before uploading it.

Change the orientation of the file on your computer first, then upload that one.

I had that same problem.  Had to download the picture to my FB page and then load it.  Someone should fix this.

This seems to be a Mac issue and you should re save the image on your computer in the proper orientation with a new name.

I save some photos as portraits and when uploading they stay that way, but I'm on a PC. But there are some better answers here that will hopefully help.

it's an apple issue and there is no magic.  I simply screen capture my photo and save under a new name and upload to avoid the issue.

Apple products do this. Save it on it's side or import from a PC.

You may need to use landscape. Or, post the photograph to Facebook and then copy and paste.

I've had it happen before and I'm not a Mac user.  Two things that MIGHT work:  resave under a different file name when you're in the right orientation or use a screen capture/editing software to "copy" the photo and then save it as a new file. 

that happens to me all the time.... I save it in my downloads.... open it ... rotate it.... save it again.... rotate again....and it's good to put into photo manager.....  but don't follow my method.... I don't know squat...

I have happened on import direct from photos on my Mac that I have taken with the phone. if I save it to the Desktop and import, no problem.

I think that the Iphone sometimes does that. You might try a different browser also.

I've had it do it just for grins on occasion.

I've had that happen as well - I delete it in AR, upload it in Ribbet, then save it again and upload it back into AR. For some strange reason that works!

Mick Michaud I believe this is a cell phone issue. I believe I fixed this by bringing up the photo in Windows Live Photo Gallery and reoriented it and re-saved it.

I have experienced that effect with my iPhone.  Had to edit it in PS

Open the image with windows Photos, orient as desired, save as: with new name.

That should strip embedded viewer controls and copy properly into your AR blog.

Try saving it a a necessary layout and upload again. Sometimes if it is a phone picture it does it saving an original layout.
