I just put in appropriate words for describing the photo in the "image description." Easy peasy.

Yes, you can see it in action if you tag it correctly (like use your name) & then go find it in images.

On my WordPress website, I use my SEO keywords in the Alt Tag field of the photo. This is what Google reads to see what the photo is about and people can see when they hover over the photo. Since ActiveRain doesn't have an Alt Tag field, I suspect their Image Description may be the same as the Alt Tag.

What Nina Hollander said - that's the easiest way.
You can also go into the HTML and add tags there.
Use longtail keywords, separated by commas.

As others have shared ... describe the photo. It needs to be ADA compliant as Corinne Guest, Managing Broker mentions ... that means the description needs to be of the photo - described for people who cannot see it.

I am a real estate broker, not a lender, and pay no attention to NMLS licensing issues.

Nathan - Yes, I believe the image description is similar to tagging, as it will be how Google finds the image to index it, but then again I am no expert.

Depends on the photo. If I want to share it via Pinterest or Google, i add as much description as possible. Sometimes I also link it with my Instagram image. But not all pictures are that interesting for me to share, so I just use the address of the property if it is a listing, a location, if ti is community related, or something like ''spring flowers'', ''thank you'', etc.

Download Source on your computer
Key words to name your photo or maybe your photo- "house for sale" "Real estate" etc.
Adjust the size as you want it.

Nathan Gesner - little late in answering. Use your 'SEO' or keywords in image description.

I think it's more like the "alt text" for screen readers. Not sure though, never use it.
