the day before one of my builders was to close on a large parcel of land and the market was just beginning on its downward trend.... I told the builder to NOT CLOSE and walk away from the deposit and all of the engineering costs.... he did what I said and within weeks, the market really began to TANK.... he would not have sold one home at the previous price....
that was a day I'll never forget and neither will the builder who was soooo appreciative....

Best odd day I had. I was moving cattle dad was at the office had a long time client call and want to put in an offer on a house. Called Dad he wrote it up. Well that is kind of odd Corrine! Can't say I've had a day like yours. Probably the oddest for me was back a few years ago in our crazy down market. I listed a couple of properties and had about 30 or so offers within a day on them. One offer came in signed and initialed - but everything else was blank. Empty offer. Very odd. I guess they wanted us to fill it whatever the seller wanted!!

Oh boy, crawling & I mean crawling under a house because the Town insisted the water meter read was there (which it was not & seller out of state) plus with the same sellers...listening to an 8 track tape of the 'Garden of Vida' before one seller would sign the sales agreement! Everything seems small compared to this one.
