Blogging does give you good SEO.
It can take time, if it hasn't happened for you yet. This is been going on for over 10 years now. But it didn't take long. First year or so, anyway.

About 1/2 of our 2016 business was attributable to AR blogging combined with our Wordpress/IDX pages. Hard to separate the two and say exact sources for a particular client because you get the usual "I found you on the Internet!" when you ask. 

John, you must be new to ask this question...now for someone who has been around since well let's just say almost the beginning.... I would not be here if I did not...International Clients, local clients, referral clients and the list goes on and on...but the best par has been making friends all over the country with professionals who have the same ideas, goals and dreams....Endre

As you digest all the affirming responses, there is one thing you must notice. They ALL have RAINMAKER, or higher status.

Calls from consumers directly from my Active Rain blog posts that lead to a sale?  Not that I am aware of, though it's possible some have come from Active Rain to my search widget and/or direct to my website and are captured there.  However, I have gotten several referrals from Active Rain members and have given a number of referrals over the years.   I also "won" a client because he was googling me and another agent, found my Active Rain profile and chose me because of it.  I did at least 6 deals with him.  So, the short answer is "yes". -Kasey

I have been contacted for business from AR by non-AR members due to my blogs being public.  Nothing came of them.  However, I have transacted business with members from here in other states for referrals.

I get and receive referrals often through AR. Made a lot of money through AR when I was blogging more regularly. I think there's a correlation - the more active you are, the more referrals you get.
