I would ask your broker that question.
You need to read your contract fine print where all fees and deductions are mentioned in addition to your split.

You should have a contract, and if your commission is not what is in your contract, you can bring it to their attention, sue them or contact state re commission.

First, you should have a conversation with your broker. If that conversation does not provide with you a satisfactory answer, it's likely time to move to another brokerage and seek qualified legal advice.

Do NOT cash the check, but bring the error to their attention, in writing. May be a simple error by the person cutting the check, or you did not carefully read your contract and may have it wrong. Or, they may not have read the contract properly . Either way, refer to your contract a proceed accordingly. Good luck!

Maybe you could start by talking to them instead of posting an anonymous question on a board? It could be an honest mistake from the Broker or the accountant. If they refuse to fix it, give them a written demand. If that doesn't work, hire an attorney.

that's a problem to be resolved by an attorney....haul is butt to court.... but you must have an agreement in writing.... not he said, she said....

It may simply be an administrative or clerical error when the profile was setup. Errors do occur in accounting, payroll and commission processing. Have you spoken to your broker?

Talk to your Broker. Maybe it was an honest mistake, but if not, it's time to get to the bottom of it and get what your ICA Agreement states.

Problems in river city, look for a new broker. My first broker was gone

I would schedule a meeting and have him or her explain the numbers. If you are still unsatisfied, it is time for a move.

If there is a mistake on your check, you need to ask about it and make sure it is corrected. But make sure you are confident in your contract with the brokerage.
1,506,773
Check that contract to see what your split is and what fees are supposed to be taken out. Compare that to the accounting you were (hopefully) given with the check. If something is wrong, just like in the corporate world, go to the boss and politely ask for clarification. If it's an error on their part, they should correct it.

Not an issue for me but check your contract and discuss wtih broker if needed
536,943
You should be receiving what is in your contract. If not it is time to have a meeting with the broker. If there is no communication agreement then it is time to move on.
5,244,229
991,652
That's a question for your broker - there should be recourse for you depending on your state
971,183
I guess this happens. In all my years I have not heard of such a complaint. I would study your contract. I would ask for a break down of the commission. If not satisfied I would leave.

Start strategically planing your departure, but don't announce it. Compensation is the MOST IMPORTANT role of the broker. There is no excuse for failing in the one aspect they MUST do.
Separate from any shared resources and place all contacts into your privately owned database.
Even if your current broker makes is right, you still need to leave.
Review the contract you signed with the broker and bring the violation to the brokers attention.
DO NOT TAKE LEGAL OR AUTHORITATIVE ACTION until you have separated. If you do take action before separation you are very, very vulnerable.
If it is proven you are RIGHT, be aware, nothing changes behavior like the assurance of exposure. But brokers don't like that. The good ones and the bad ones don't like the laundry being aired. So he/she will threaten to sue you if you breath a word of their transgression to anyone.
Proceed with corrective action with caution, but leave is what you must do.
