I switch to a company 3 years ago that was a awaste andtook lots of money,  Drop them but funny they just called last week and wanted me back for another 8000 a year.

Marie - Sounds like what you really want is someone to help with your page ranking. Several agents had some great recommendations for you. Obviously if you are using the same company to host and provide SEO, and you are not happy, you will want to have it hosted somewhere else, but that doesn't need to be the same business that helps your SEO.

Add content and work on your current web site before spending more on another site.    Google wants to see you add value.

I dont love mine, but then it hardly matters since most find me on AR and other social media these days.

I am not so much concerned with placement as I am with leads it generates. I am with Marekt Leader and it is working for me. Good luck, Marie.

The issues you decribe are unrelated.

Hosting and SEO are completely seperate, but it is possible you hired the same people to do both. 

Your best hosting options are directly related to your historic bandwidth needed. I am moving to a VPN structure for my hosting needs. Templated and shared hosting spell TROUBLE in my future.

SEO requires folks with online marketing skills more than code jockey.

What you paid your website devoper for is the FILES that create your website. YOU ARE ENTITLED TO HAVE THOSE FILES. Make sure they get them to you, perhaps on your cloud or a thumbdrive.

ONce you have the files, call GoDaddy to create your new website.

Now peruse the recomendation of those who have already commented and start calling for an SEO expert. Be aware, you need to know what you want your marketing to accomplish in meaningful terms otherwise you will receive what they are selling. Often that does not end well.

I host on GoDaddy and designed my own site.  SEO and placement have more to do with the content and links than who your host is (so long as they have good uptime metrics).  I'll second Barbara Todaro's recommendation of Nestor & Katerina Gasset (Katerina).  She has some free webinars you can probably catch a replay of that will give you an idea of the type of work she does and just how indepth the SEO aspect is.

Hosting and your SEO placement are two different things. 

Howver, how you host your site can affect your SEO in that there is a ranking signal discovered in how fast your site is 'the first byte' from your host. 

Most people choose a host based on the cost savings, this almost always results in being on a 'shared" server with many other websites. 

Although this is not a huge ranking signal, it is a part of the entire SEO strategy. 

Most SEO people think that page load speed is a big ranking factor but the tests that the SEO mastermind group I am a part of, says that it is not a factor in rank HOWEVER "First Byte" is. This has to do with how fast your host is giving the search engine their request.

That being said, SEO and hosting outside of that one issue, have nothing to do with each other. 

Never buy SEO from a company that guarantees placement. That is not possible. If it were possible, we would not be spending hours upon hours trying to rank for our keywords, we would just pay for ranking. 

I use Bluhost, NextSulting, and Traffic Planet as hosting companies for my websites.  

The size of your website files will determine the pricing. The typical hosting on the low cost side is going to give you 5 Gigs of space. I have a client who's website was shut down because she ( unbeknownst to her) went over that storage. It was with hostgator, they never sent her a notice, her site has been there since 2014, and had of course, over that time, reached capacity.They would not even allow us in to migrate the site to a different host. They kept trying to charge her $1700 for the year to upgrade the gigs. We had to go all the way to a manager to finally get a code to access the site. So be careful with who you host your site with. I don't know who you paid to build your site, or if there was a contract involved where they supplied the hosting. But if your not locked into your current hosting, check out A2 and Siteground. I would go with Siteground. One more worth looking at is liquidweb. They recently hired some new wordpress talent and also have other good features. I looked at your website, and you will need to do more than just switch hosting companies. SEO is a separate piece of the puzzle. Also, hosting companies offer different types and levels of hosting, so maybe upgrading with your current host might help.

What makes you think a change of hosting will change your placement or SEO?

I Personally would get a templated site, like Linkurealty, and customize that-unless you want to be a web developer instead of an agent.
