Not anymore. I do not answer before 8am or after 8pm unless I expect the call( for international clients). My associate received a call a 2 am from a local agent who thought it is perfectly ok to call that late to get some quite un-urgent information about a listing.  And no he does not know her, a total stranger. 

Setting your own parameters for business hours and setting expectations for clients is critical. If we allow ourselves to be 24/7, we allow ourselves to be constantly distratced and interrupted. A professional should have a timeframe where clients and consumers are able to reach you. Once you give up all of your privacy there is no telling when a client is likely to call. Leads are a different animal and must be addressed immediately. Websites and social media are 24/7 and there is nothing short of a disaster that can't wait 24 hrs. Realtors do sleep, don't they?

Neither. Not 24/7 or regular hours. Schedule has to be flexible in this business. Only my websites work 24/7.

I think a 24/ 7 business model is a format for disaster or burnout... or you are a 7-eleven ;)

Over the last few years, I have added hours - 8 am - 8:30 M-S Sunday is 10-7.   My clients have not had a problem with this.

I agree with most of the answers posted.  I was 24/7 as a new agent, but the years have taught me that after 5:00 there are no title companies, rarely a lender or other vendors available, so besides showings, it can probably wait until the morning.

Regular hours because I'm in Propery Management. I occassionally work outside of those hours for sales.

I'm not a physician on call. I help buyers and sellers and they value my service..its not 24/7..its flexible to meet their needs.

I have never said I was available 24/7 but do check in 7 days a week to see if I need to take care of something right then. If it can wait until a weekday I let it.

I keep my phone on until 9 pm and turn it on at 6 am. And I answer calls on weekends as well.

I keep regular office hours that are appropriate for working with the 8-5 crowd.

I actually got my ass chewed by someone the other day when I mentioned that my phones are turned off (ringers off) when I shut down at night. I am not 24/7 ... I am not a computer server with 9.9999 up-time.  I sleep and I do have a life outside of real estate.  Yeah me!

Thankfully, I have retired. Every day is a holiday.

24/7 is regular. Actually 7am to 9pm is most days

Regular hours, in fact I had to remind a seller yesterday that the office was closed. 

Generally will work from 8 to 9 but there are scheduled times that are off limits!

I agree with Jeff Pearl, not a 24/7 agent, but I am flexible and accommodating within reason. Because real estate is my passion, it's just part of my lifestyle as opposed to a job.

Knowing how to disengage and immerse into things not real estate is essential to maintain stimulated thought and physical capability.

As such the ON/OFF switch is more  a rolling horizon than a place to raise a monument.

I have found establishing expectation is more important than reacting to every jerk of the chain.

Maybe 16/6? I do take some time on Sundays for myself, and I do turn the phone off around 10pm and on around 8am.

24/7 is madness and parameters need to be set according to having a life.
