Pick them up, regardless of luxury buyer or not.  If they are qualified and serious, I clean up my car.

Most of our clients are from out of the area.  They are unfamiliar with the area and worried, so I make sure they do not get more stressed looking for where to meet me or follow me around in heavy traffic.

I have picked up buyers at the airport and returned them there. (real buyers only)

Yesterday afternoon I met up with a couple that were surprised that I would allow them in my car including the baby car seat.  By the time we were done, it was dark but we had a first and second choice to make offers on.

Most importantly, we became friends and they understood why I am not the run of the mill realtor.

I think that is an interesting question.  Several years back, there would have only been one answer.   I would have picked them up.  If they were my client, they would have already spoken to my lender.  And the common practice was, that as their agent, I would drive them to all the showings.  Nowadays, it seems that buyers take their own car.

If they are preapproved you should be thrilled you can have conversations with them in your car...like the old days we used to do that 15 + years ago:))Endre

YES, I'd be hopping in my car, phoning the showing service on my way to pick them up!

I have picked up many clients at their homes in the past as it was more convenient for them or they did not know the area or where we were going. Is there reason to believe something isn't right?

I would be picking them up!  That's how things were done years ago... There are some occasions where this is necessary.. so we do what we have to do.

I have no problem picking up qualified buyers for showings!!!

If my clients live in the tour area, I do pick them up. If they are out of the way, I say "oh sorry I'm coming from the other side of town, in order to be on time I'll need to meet you there. We can carpool from the first house (if there's more to see)." I do want my clients in my car.

I remember a colleague all excited about this Buyer who needed to be picked up at the train station each week and taken to 4 or 5 pricey showings before being dropped off at a less than stellar hotel.  This happened for a few weeks in a row before my colleague realized this "Buyer" was using her as a taxi to get her walking distance to one of our 5 local prisons to visit her husband each week!  LOL

PS - No, I do not pick up clients nor do I allow them in my car.  My safety is far more important than any cheque.  I've had too many close calls in my life to not listen to my gut instinct.

I have done this.  It depends on the client and the circumstances.   All situations are not equal.  

I can drive them, no issues. I usually do not though, since no one is asking these days, but I would.

I don't drive clients around I am a real estate consultant not a chauffeur my clients know this upfront and in the buyer agent agreement 

I once had a relocation client ask me to pick "them" up at the airport and take them to see some houses, so they would not have to rent a car. This is what I told them: I don't ride clients around in my car for showings. It's because of liability reasons.

P.S. - $200K, $500k, $$850K - my answer is always the same.

I always have buyers in my car.  I want to talk with them in between homes, get their feedback, and bond.

I don't understand.  Don't buyer's agents usually drive their clients around?  I know I do, unless the folks have kids in car seats.  Then I suggest they follow me.

So long as they don't need to transfer child seats, we're good.  Granted, I let them know what type of car I have and that the backseat is almost non-existant.  Worst case, I'll go to Enterprise a couple blocks away and rent something for the day.

I have done this more times than I care to count.  99% of the time my buyer clients are in my car ... sometimes that means strapping a car seat in as well for the little one.

I would not hesitate. I have had foreign clients who have asked me to pick them up at their hotels. Haven't had to pick anyone at the airport. I guess that is a blessing, for I can't stand the congestion at LAX.

It depends on the reason and the distances. I have done that in the past, but beware of being a free tour guide.

This question barely warrants an answer, "your client", you pick them up!

I'd go pick them up, they sound like good buyers. 

Once i have met a client, they are pre qualifed, i know their time frame for moving, i have no problem driving them to showings

In Florida, picked people up at their hotel all the time as long as they were pre-approved and serious! Worked out very well!

If possible, I would accommodate them.

If they are pre approved and has signed a buyers rep agreement I would have not problem with that request.

Here, most people do not want to ride with the agent. However, if someone wanted to be picked up and they were 1/2 hour away or less, I'd pick them up. 

1. Make sure they are qualified and ready to buy
2. Clean the truck
3. dont bring them home until the offers are signed.

Probably drive to the car wash...  ;)

I don't understand the question... I pick up clients all the time regardless of price point. Love the opportunity to have them captive in my car and to build a relationship between the showings.

No problem but I have not had this request.
