Nathan Gesner - I copy the source code from my website and then paste it into AR as source code as well.  Sometimes it does take some tweaking but, I've found that's the best way to do it.

Also, don't forget to 'tell Google' that you've copied the article from your website by posting something like this at the foot of your post on AR:

"Originally posted at http://www.icharlotterealestate.com/southpark-market-report-january-2017/#ixzz4Xq895cHJ"

Do what Debe Maxwell suggests.  It is a lot of steps but I will either copy and paste into Notebook which strips all of the code - then into AR and reformat.

You can also just copy and paste into AR and then select all and strip the code on the AR editor ... the format accordingly.

Copy the html.  That will take care of most/all the formating.  If it's wordpress, go to the "text" section and copy.  On here, open the new blog post and then hit <> paste and then say okay.

Nathan,

Some blogs I write right on AR, others I write on a word document and then paste.  I have not had a problem with either style of doing it.  I do not paste it from our site, because that does screw up the formatting.  A

I agree....and it is really annoying. Even if I copy/paste it from MS word, it messes formatting and it takes forever to clean up.

Hi Nathan, I use MS ExpressionWeb4 for authoring, as it is a competent, WYSIWYG HTML editor (AND FREE), and won't create the problems that MS-Word may create with the code.  An AR "template" is created with the primary DIV tag; and my website blog template uses a different primary DIV.  I then copy and tweak the content inside the main Div to create unique posts; and also make image adjustments.  Blog on!

I found a bunch of extraneous <div> tags when I looked at the AR source code (to be fair, they were from months of copy & paste action).  Once I got rid of those then my image formatting tags worked.

Aside from images, I've never had formatting issues going from AR to my blog or any other site.

I should have been more clear. I'm already cutting/pasting the html source code. It works decent from my Wordpress site but still requires editing. I also have a sales page and it works much better. Even when I cut/paste from AR to my web pages, editing is necessary. It's just a pain and I hoped someone had a fix.

I use source code if I'm doing anything like that. But I find that when I use source code in AR it does not always work well regardless and formatting issues remain just that--too frequent an issue.
