     "If you were in my shoes, interviewing a successful entrepreneur / author, what question would you ask him?"

First, it would be to her.

Second, I'd probably ask something like what was the best learning experience you had, esp one that at the time seemed like doom and gloom, and then how you turned it around and what you learned from it.

Do you give back to your community?  Do you mentor young people on how to be a successful entrepreneurs or give to charity?

What was your aha moment and how did you capitalize upon it?

What started your "inner fire" to succeed?

Starwars or StarTrek?

Most won't understand how to pursue this thread. SO, that means following the entrepreneurship, small business, real estate and more.

The interviewer must determine is the purpose of the interview is to be introspective or practical. Introspective would be, "Most disappointing failure," practical would be, "How to identify an unmet need in a market."

Being able to understand the subjects comments becomes more relevant when you ask and understand the Starwars/Startrek question.

The average price of a detached property in my area exceeds $1 million by a couple of hundred thousand dollars so millionaires are becoming more common in my area, at least on paper.

Many people will want to know how to earn more money than their house which has been appreciating at a very good rate in the past few years.

It's not about just having a good idea, being a tech wiz or skilled in your career choice... but to be the best business person to survive. What does he consider the most important list of  points to remove the slack and run a tight business? Or why did you write the E Myth Mikey... how did he get the idea and what moved him, why was it successful does he think in how it was received so highly? What was he like as a little boy, how did his parents, whoever influence him... expose how he ticks and why.

Sorry, not a clue what I'd ask them.  No "million dollar questions" come to mind, just some .50 cent ones that everyone asks.

You know, I just never pay attention to these "guru's."
